Everything we do is about process.
As investors in early stage companies we prefer to be the first people to find new innovation that has the potential of being a game changer for our world.
Since early stage investing has the highest risk of all venture capital investments, we clearly have our jobs cut out for us especially since we are using our own capital.
So, we start minimizing risk by not leaving a single stone unturned in all aspects of our hunt for a new science or technology. Our internal team of seasoned analysts pre screen and scrub opportunities that are referred to us by our trusted network of attorneys, bankers, educational institutions and governments.
Over the years we have developed proprietary evaluation tools that help us look at early stage opportunities in ways that allow us to quickly pick well. These tools have evolved over the past 25 years giving us a very extensive database to reference.
Additionally, we only review projects we know. Our team of partners and workers are especially experienced in life sciences and technology and most recently in the food and agriculture spaces. So, these areas are our area of focus.
Also, we are not afraid to start our own companies when our internal staff creates something new that has merit. In fact, over the past 5 years our internally funded and grown companies have outscored investments made in companies not started by us.
Moreover, the investment is supported with talent and with only a single round of capital that encourages the company to be profitable in year one. This is truly a very difficult accomplishment, but one made possible by the very talented management of our companies. We support them with senior partners, associates, in house legal, in house accounting and in-house human resources and of course with state-of-the-art technology.
Investments made in life sciences companies historically have provided investors the highest return on investments when sold to a major multinational company. When the time is right our companies are sold to companies we know and trust to grow the fledgling entities we have helped grow.
New capital secured from the exit of one of our portfolio of companies is directly placed back in our evergreen fund for future use.
Should you feel an urge to talk to us about an opportunity or if you believe you have the requisite talent to help out one of our companies feel free to contact us.

Our work requires a large talent pool of former executives capable of helping incubate growing companies. Additionally our interest in investing in any opportunity regardless of where it is globally requires us to have "feet on the ground" in most industrial nations.
